For cyanobacteria, Red and Hair algae. Removes up to 800 mg of phosphates within 48-hours without removing any essential trace elements. Contains no dangerous Alumina or Aluminum Oxide. Will not re-release phosphates into water. Quickly and safely removes both soluble and insoluble phosphates. Safe for Reefs. Two styles; PF100 should be used when phosphates have built up algae needed to be eradicated. Once algae is eradicated us the PF200 to maintain the aquarium. Recommended use: Every two to three months to remove accumulated phosphates.

Tropical Science Phosphate Filters will quickly remove 2-ppm phosphate from up to 120-gallon aquariums and has been formulated to maintain very low (less than 0.05 ppm) or undetectable levels. Phosphate Filters are compatible with all aquarium products, and removes only PO4, and adds nothing to the aquarium water.
